Good to know about Leivonmäki National Park

Located in Leivonmäki, Joutsa, Leivonmäki National Park is the second largest national park in Central Finland. It invites visitors to enjoy the rich and diverse landscapes of Lakeland Finland.

Leivonmäki National Park was established to protect the typical forest, esker, mire, and small water ecosystems of the Lakeland Finland.

The forests of Leivonmäki National Park are mostly easy to walk through — open, light pine forests on sandy heaths. The varying esker terrain offers gentle hills and kettle holes, while rocky and rooty paths add some challenge to the hike.

In addition to forests and mires, visitors can relax by lakes and ponds, or along meandering rivers and lively rapids.

EräKatri warmly welcomes you to a guided tour in Leivonmäki National Park.
