Hey you singles out there! This is a challenge. Come join in the life-saving work, donate blood. With one blood donation you can help up to three patients.
My challenge is nationwide, so you can participate by donating blood and mentioning the donation group Sinkkluovuttajat to the nurse.

Finnish Red Cross Blood Service Jyväskylä office has reserved the afternoon of Thursday 28.5. from 15:00 to 18:00 for lovely singles. The professional and helpful staff of the Finnish Red Cross Blood Service, led by Anu and Juho, are waiting for singles to donate blood. Whether you are a first-time donor or someone with experience, you are warmly welcome to join us.
Come and do good, help patients meet lovely singles and have a coffee together.
Donation times are limited. Times can be booked on this page with an accuracy of one hour.
Professionals' advice for those who are going to donate blood
Thank you for helping. Blood is a vital aid for, among others, cancer patients and accident victims. Every year, over 20,000 new blood donors are needed. Are you one of them?
Who can donate blood?
As an adult in basic health, you can probably donate blood, as long as
you start donating blood no later than the age of 65.
your weight is between 50 and 199 kilograms.
The good thing is that most illnesses or medications do not prevent you from donating blood. You may be taking blood pressure medication, cholesterol medication or diabetes treated with tablets, for example.
This is how you prepare for donating blood
The most important thing is the desire to help. So make the best decision of the day and come along.
Fill out the health questionnaire in advance no earlier than the day before: health questionnaire
Eat and drink normally on the day of donation.
Bring your driver's license, official ID or passport with you to donate blood.
Is this your first time donating blood?
If you are coming to donate blood for the first time, take a short online test in advance: Am I suitable to be a donor? First-time donors are especially welcome.
You will find out your hemoglobin and blood type.
Enjoy the rest of the day feeling good
It has been proven that helping does good. By donating blood, you help up to three patients. Donating blood makes you feel good, you do a good deed for yourself and your patients. So enjoy the good feeling and take the rest of the day relaxed.
After donating, it is time to treat yourself. Enjoy a tasty snack in good company. Coffee, a selection of juices and hot drinks, bread rolls, buns, nuts and small sweets are available.
On the day of donation, it is recommended to avoid exercise, sauna use and excessive sweating.
It is important to remember to drink more than usual.

This time, all you need to bring is an open and helpful mind. Professionals will handle blood donation. We will cheer each other on as a group during the blood donation.
You can come alone or with a single friend. If you don't have a friend, that's okay, I will be there as a friend, giving up with you. See you!
