Guided hike in Pyhä-Häkki National Park with EräKatri
In Pyhä-Häkki National Park, hikers can breathe the same air as the finest old forest in Southern Finland. Walking in the silence of the forest, you gain strength from the 250-year-old pine trees. Along the route, it feels important to stop for a moment and hug a sturdy old oak that began growing in 1518.
You are welcome to join us for a refreshing and empowering guided hike in Pyhä-Häkki National Park.
On this hike, we smell and touch, move according to the level of the group, safely enjoying the magnificent nature of the national park.
During the hike, we take appropriate breaks, take nice photo memories and have cookies with a drink and a savory and sweet snack at the campfire.
Prepare properly for a forest hike
A brisk and open hiking spirit is essential for the success of a guided hike. Dressing appropriately for the weather will help you enjoy the forest longer. On a dry day, you can normally get by on the Pyhä-Häkki trail in running shoes. Personally, I always prefer hiking shoes with a shaft on a forest hike. Which ones would you choose?
Tip - there is an opportunity to swim in deep water at the rest area. So, bring a swimsuit and towel if you feel like taking a dip.
It is always a good idea to pack at least a water bottle, an energy-rich snack and a jacket in your hiking backpack. Let us know in advance if you need to borrow a backpack.
Guided hike in Pyhä-Häkki
Duration 4 hours. Circular route. Meeting point is in the parking area.

Please note that the guided tour requires 4 participants to take place. If there are fewer than 4 participants 2 days before the tour, we will be in touch. If the tour is canceled, the payment will be refunded.
Outdoor Express, bus ride to the national park from Jyväskylä
In summer 2026, you can take the Outdoor Express from the center of Jyväskylä to Leivonmäki, Pyhä-Häkki, and Etelä-Konnevesi national parks on Saturdays and Sundays. Outdoor Express also allows overnight trips.
