Hike in Leivonmäki National Park with EräKatri
In Leivonmäki National Park, visitors can enjoy the diverse beauty of Central Finland.
You are welcome to join a guided hiking trip in Leivonmäki National Park to feel empowered and refreshed.
On this excursion, we will explore the national park, hike together, enjoy nature, learn, take in the scents, and reflect; we will move at a pace suited to the group, safely enjoying the park's magnificent natural surroundings.
During the hike, we will take suitable breaks, snap nice photos, and enjoy a snack—including drinks and both savory and sweet treats—at the campfire site.
Prepare properly for a hike
A spirited and open-minded attitude ensures a successful guided hike. Dressing appropriately for the weather allows you to enjoy your time in the forest longer. On the Leivonmäki trail, standard running shoes are usually sufficient on a dry day. Personally, however, I always prefer high-cut hiking boots for forest excursions. Which would you choose?
It is always a good idea to pack at least a water bottle, an energy-rich snack and a jacket in your backpack.
Guided hike in Leivonmäki
Duration: 5 hours. Meeting point: Kirveslampi parking area.

When purchasing your ticket, please let me know in advance if you need to borrow a backpack or would like to use walking poles during the hike.
Note
The guided excursion requires a minimum of 4 participants to take place. You can purchase tickets for yourself and up to three family members or friends in a single transaction.
If there are fewer than 4 participants two days before the scheduled date, we will contact you. If the excursion is cancelled, the fee will be refunded.
Outdoor Express – bus service to the National Parks
In the summer of 2026, you can take the Outdoor Express bus from Jyväskylä city centre on Saturdays and Sundays to one of the following national parks: Leivonmäki, Pyhä-Häkki, or Etelä-Konnevesi. This means the Outdoor Express also makes overnight trips possible.

Remember to buy your tickets advance
Please book the guided hike advance - minimum two days before the scheduled date. Thank you! If needed, check the instructions for purchasing a ticket from EräKatri’s online store.
Outdoor Express bus tickets are available for purchase via the Matkahuolto service. Tickets must be purchased at least 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
