Hiking trip in Leivonmäki National Park with EräKatri
In Leivonmäki National Park, hikers can enjoy the beauty of Central Finland in a variety of ways. In Joutsniemi in Leivonmäki, nature pampers hikers, offering a kilometer of serpentine, magnificently narrowing ridge landscape with lake views on both sides.
You are welcome to join us to gain strength and refresh on a guided hike in Leivonmäki National Park.
On this hike, we smell and touch, move according to the level of the group, safely enjoying the magnificent nature of the national park.
During the hike, we take appropriate breaks, grab nice photo memories and have cookies with a drink and salty and sweet snacks at the campfire site.
Prepare properly for a hike
A brisk and open hiking spirit is essential for the success of a guided hike. Dressing according to the weather will make you feel more comfortable in the forest for longer. On a dry day, you can normally get by with running shoes on the Leivonmäki trail. Personally, I always prefer hiking shoes on a forest hike. Which ones would you choose?
Tip - on this hike you have the opportunity to swim in nature on a beautiful sandy beach. So, bring a swimsuit and a towel if you feel like taking a dip.
It is always a good idea to pack at least a water bottle, an energy-rich snack and a jacket in your backpack. Let us know in advance if you need to borrow a backpack.
Guided hiking in Leivonmäki
Duration 5 hours. The meeting point is at the Selänpohja parking area.

Please note that the guided tour requires 4 participants to take place. If there are fewer than 4 participants 2 days before the tour, we will be in touch. If the tour is canceled, the fee will be refunded.
Outdoor Express, bus ride to the national park from Jyväskylä
In summer 2026, you can take the Outdoor Express from the center of Jyväskylä to Leivonmäki, Pyhä-Häkki, and Etelä-Konnevesi national parks on Saturdays and Sundays. Outdoor Express also allows overnight trips.
